Legacy of Prosperity

The first time I saw a work like the above, it just blew me away. With such intricacies and powerful colors, I couldn’t even imagine how someone had thought of such a thing. Much less created it.

After I saw an artist create the painting, my respect changed … to their accuracy and how they used this abstraction to evoke emotions.

I’ve realized that this applies to business too! Much of what we do might seem like magic, but that’s not where the skill lies.

Instead, it’s about having a process which makes what you do reproducible.

There are certain things you can do and say which dramatically improve the chances that who you touch through your business will come away satisfied. Even ecstatic. But that takes time, trial and error, seeing what works and what doesn't. It takes building trust from time in business and transparency, which also takes time, lots of time. Meanwhile, waiting to make a profit, which will come maybe years down the road depending on how much money you have to spend or if you had to borrow.

You may decide to be your own boss and get into business for yourself. But there is a lot to consider. You found something you like, is familiar or to be passionate about that you think is a good idea for a business. You’ve been able to figure out a few reliable sources of information so that when you have to make a decision to spend a bundle on ordering inventory, you’re going to achieve the right balance. But you also realize that it’s just information, and in the end you have to combine that with your experience and gut feel. You are basically creating from the ground up and it can take years! Literally!

Business is an art, yes, but primarily it’s about process. That process can take a long time starting from scratch.

It would take months and months, maybe even years, to set everything up in a new online business, the way I would want, with a professional look, and also learn on my own how to market and brand myself. It would be a lot of work again, where do I start? I wanted to provide value to people and also have a business where I was mindful that it would help people and cause no harm.  There was sooooo much to think about.

Then I ran across an ad and checked into a business to partner with, where I still own my own business, can be my own boss, but most of the work in getting started had been done for me.  This meant getting my business up and running in about two weeks (some people less some more) and it meant building much quicker while also learning from top leaders in the industry. I am literally able to pick up the phone and pick the brain of another business owner who is creating success in the same industry and they are happy to help me. If I had started from scratch, I would still be trying to figure out where to get started.

I realized I found an online business and company I could partner with. I was fortunate it was something I was passionate about, Personal Development and Leadership Education. I know everyone needs coaching, even myself. And, I know that the systems already set up with a company and community that has been around for over 20 years with award winning content was something I had attracted by already having done a lot of personal growth ahead of finding my business. It had systems already in place. That meant, no re-inventing the wheel.

The compensation plan was more money than I had ever thought I would be capable of before and it was definitely possible in this day and age.  More and more people are looking for online remote work and to break away from the regular worker ant mentality, letting go of the herd mentality.  People are wanting more out of life than just making a paycheck.   People want to contribute in a real way that makes a difference in the world and who they are becoming. And they want to have quality time with family if that just means being more present or treating their family to a getaway holiday.

But even more than being about the money, which is important and in our society has been a big taboo, (its ok to want money and to become rich, having a wealth creation plan!) we are wanting substance and real depth in what we are putting out there into the world.  We are wanting to build a legacy of prosperity.
